A couple related feature ideas for the site:

At-mentioning users.
Tagging other users in photos.

At-mentions

Users should be able to mention each other by username which results in a clickable link to that user's page, when writing messages on the forums or comment threads.

For the UX there should be type-ahead autocompletion for at-mentionable usernames from when the user types an "@" symbol. The autocomplete should suggest users via:

The user's own friend list
Other users on the current comment thread

Photo tagging

If a nonshy member appears in photos with another nonshy member it would be nice if they could tag each other within the site.

For a simple method, at-mentioning in the photo's caption could work.

Some additional ideas:

An approval process for the tagged user to check it before it goes live?
